Computer RepairWhether your computer needs a new Hard Drive (HD), Optical Disc Drive (ODD), Power Supply (PS), LCD Monitor, or Main Logic Board (MLB) which is also called a Mother Board by some, I have the know how you are looking for! While working for Apple I gained experience fixing every model of Mac produced in the last decade. I can practically close my eyes and see every screw inside and know how the cables are run. I can service machines from Mac OS 8.0 up the the most current Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard based systems, as well as Mac OS X Server. I try to stock common HDs, and RAM upgrades but because of their very specific nature, other parts like Power Supplies, LCDs and MLBs will have to be ordered on an as needed basis. When replacing a Hard Drive (HD) I offer Data Transfer services at a $50 fee for basic transfers and $75 fee for extended transfers. I HIGHLY recommend and even urge everyone to have their own, up-to-date backup! You data is irreplaceable and if a HD is malfunctioning it may already be to late to get any data off the drive. My mantra is, and your's should be to Back-Up, Back-Up, Back-Up!! The 2nd to the last question of every day should be.. "Did I back my computer up?".

As part of that job I was given 3 weeks of customer experience skills training, followed by 2 more weeks of in-depth technical immersion training. Wired & Wireless NetworkingCall me crazy but I enjoy networking! I have designed and setup many different types of networks. Everything from Cat5e or Cat6 Gigabit Ethernet networks, to 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless network. I have designed and reworked existing networks in order to achieve higher performance and lessen network traffic on individual lines of the network to increase throughput and optimize data transfer speeds between individual systems. I have the equipment to make Cat5e or Cat6 ethernet cables or to test current lines that may be causing troubles.

It is important not to let systems go until it is to late to fix issues. Also available is Remote Tech Support via screen sharing, a step above phone support that allows me to see the difficulties you are having from accross town or accross state, which allows me to solve your issue more quickly. This can be accomplished through multiple ways including Apple’s “Screen Sharing” program that is built into every Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6 based systems. Earlier Operating Systems are supported but require more setup. Screen sharing can also be accomplished through Apple’s iChat program in Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6 if you already have an AOL Instant Messenger account set up or you are an Apple Mobile Me subscriber. There are many remote management systems and technologies we can use in order to save both you and me time and reduce your cost of support.
Timely Service & Turn Around TimeI know how dependant we have all become on our computers and support equipment, with that in mind I am dedicated to fixing or finding a work around for you in the least amount of time. When it comes to getting an appointment I will do my best to return your call in a timely manner and schedule an appointment with you. If your computer requires a repair I strive to get repairs done within 48 hours, of course based on parts availability. My regular business hours are from 9 am to 6 pm. Any problems you have that are not time sensative will be scheduled in the next available appointment. The latest I will schedule an appointment without considering it after hours is 7 PM. 
TrainingiCanHelp! offers training on the Mac Operating System (OS), Apple’s iLife applications such as iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, and iWeb. I also offer basic to intermediate training on Adobe’s Creative Suite applications Illustrator, Photoshop, ImageReady and InDesign. I offer training on a one to one basis or on a small group basis. Re-Use and RecyclingWhen a computer experiences an issue that ends it's useful lifetime, it is important to find ecological and economical ways to deal with what remains. In order to further the ecological and economical goals, iCanHelp! offers computer recycling. The first step in this process is to re-use any usable parts. If you own a machine that has come to the end of it's useful lifetime, please Contact Me to discuss the possability of selling it to me. That's correct I buy used and broken machines for parts recovery and re-use. This can help offset the cost of the purchase of a new machine. In todays world there are always concerns about where our data goes and who has it. With this in mind, all hard drives that are salvaged undergo a 7 times erasure the meets the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 5220-22-M standard for securely erasing magnetic media. In other words no one will ever have any access to any files stored on your Hard Drive. After the remaining useful parts have been removed the rest of the machine is taken to a local recycling center where the rest of the parts are stripped down and recycled into their constituant material types. It is very important that computers and electronics be delt with in an ecological fashion. Many electronics contain lead, mercury and other hazardous materails. These materials need to be disposed of in a safe manner.
